November 2026: National festival of Storytelling and Narratives
Following our two successful annual festivals – the first on Theatre in Education (TIE) and the second on Puppetry – we are excited to announce our upcoming children’s festival, which will focus on Storytelling and Narratives.
The festival will take place from 15th to 22nd November 2026 at IIET, Mysore, with select outreach events hosted across local schools.
We welcome submissions across a variety of theatrical and narrative art forms tailored for young audiences, including interactive storytelling, puppetry, and children’s plays. Selected performers will visit scheduled schools in Mysore to conduct daytime performances for students. In the evening, they will also perform at the IIET campus for a public audience.
We warmly encourage applications from individual solo performers, duos, and small independent theater companies. Whether you are a solo storyteller with a suitcase of props, a two-person puppetry troupe, or an ensemble cast, we welcome high-quality, mobile productions that bring big imagination to intimate setups.
